Azerai La Residence, Hue, is situated on a spacious two-and-a-half-hectare property with a 200-meter frontage along the Perfume River. The hotel boasts 122 rooms and suites, with its centerpiece being a colonial mansion built in the 1930s as part of the French Resident Superieure.
The hotel seamlessly blends classic and modern architecture. The original colonial mansion, built in the 1930s, displays streamlined art deco elements on its facade, featuring long horizontal lines and nautical details. Parisian interior designer Brigitte Dumont de Chassart curated the interior design, incorporating Art Deco motifs such as high ceilings, terrazzo floors, and elegant furnishings. In 2005, additional wings were constructed in a contemporary style with art deco influences, encircling a lush tropical garden and a salt-water swimming pool, fostering a serene ambiance.
In 2017, Azerai La Residence Hue underwent a transformation, maintaining its art deco charm while enhancing its aesthetic. Changes included an exterior shift to an ash-beige hue, the relocation of the bar for a dedicated lounge experience, and updates to guest rooms with elegant, modern interiors. The spa was expanded for a more comprehensive wellness experience, and the fitness center was relocated and refurbished.
