Dental tourism—the practice of seeking low-cost dental care abroad—has grown substantially. As a dentist with over 20 years of experience, primarily in Australia and the US, I have witnessed the growing trend of patients pursuing care overseas due to increasing costs back home. A source of professional frustration has been my inability to provide care to patients due to their financial constraints. Even worse was seeing patients return from overseas with subpar work, often requiring extensive and costly corrective treatment.
After my three-year specialty training at Columbia University, I recognized the untapped potential in Vietnam’s dental tourism sector due to its dynamic economic growth and increasing popularity as a tourist destination. I resolved to be a part of the solution to dental tourism’s challenges by heading to Vietnam, where I could help provide world-class dental care at an affordable cost without compromising on ethics, quality, or patient outcomes. Drawing upon my international experience and insight into Western dental care delivery, I have guided Premier Dental to meet the expectations of a global patient base.
